Ever heard of the General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR? Well, we have. And it’s pretty big.

The GDPR is a new EU regulation that enters into force in all Member States as of the 25th of May 2018. Since the UK will still be a Member of the EU at that point, the GDPR will also become directly enforceable over here.

Moreover, the Information Commissioner’s Office itself has issued a statement calling on businesses to comply with the GDPR. It’s basically a matter of sound data protection, which is beneficial for all. In 2010, long before the GDPR, our Belgian branch already published an extensive survey on data protection in the ICT sector. The results were unambiguous: people want better protection of their privacy. This makes good data protection a unique selling point for businesses – consumers will choose a company that can ensure their personal data remain secure.

In a nutshell, the GDPR aims at protecting the personal data of customers in a B2C context. To accomplish this, the law imposes strict obligations on any business that controls, hosts or processes personal data. Our jurists have been studying the GDPR since the project first came into existence and are unbeatable in this regard. We can assist you with any GDPR-related questions and guide your business through the process of creating a GDPR-compliant privacy policy. Need someone to come and explain the new rules to your staff in clear, practical terms? No problem, let us do the talking.

Every company is different, its GDPR compliance needs are too. Therefore, we propose individualised ‘compliance tracks’ with a tailored approach. We keep costs low by working with the latest software tools on the market: our unique Privacy Deep Scan audits your company efficiently, quickly and at an affordable rate.
